Other cities on the listing include Muscat, Bengaluru, Cadiz, Stockholm, Guimaraes, Santiago, Hong Kong, Orlando and Darwin. There is a city of Cadiz just north of Bacolod City in the Philippines but this selection is for the Spanish City. I remember the town of Muel there in Spain where the pottery was unique and the pace of life proper. Guimaras is also near Bacolod and renowned for sweet mangoes but the city selected for 2012, Giumaraes points one in the direction of Portugal. How many of these cities have you visited?

Playing at the Parken Stadion proved to be the recipe for Danish success as they beat Portugal 2-1 to automatically qualify for the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late goal for Portugal which will now enter the playoffs where they can still reach the tournament. Nicklas Bendtner, who had a turbulent stint at Arsenal, scored the winner for the Danes. With Nani in great form for Manchester United, even on the road, I though the Portuguese would win this match, but it is good that both teams can still qualify while Norway has missed out in Group H. For a completed round-up of the scores from the final matches, read the round-up from the ESPN Soccernet Staff “Danes deny Portugal, France through”

I remember sharing the statistics in ealier reports that since Wayne Rooney & Christiano Ronaldo were in tandem, Nani took the most shots last year for Manchester. Correct me if I’m wrong. At 24, his record has been compared to Ronaldo’s who blossomed under Sir Alex Ferguson before moving to his beloved Real Madrid and playing for his compatriot, the one-of-a-kind maestro, Jose Mourinho.
Wikipedia states this about Nani: “Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha (born 17 November 1986), commonly known as Nani, is a Portuguese footballer currently playing as a winger for English club Manchester United in the Premier League and the Portugal national team.”
Read this report to see where the two skilled and artistic players, Nani & Ronaldo compare at similar stages of their careers at Old Trafford: Manchester United midfielder Nani’s Old Trafford record stands up to Cristiano Ronaldo’s at same stage of career, courtesy of The Telegraph. It states that the 19 goal total is the same for this point at Manchester United.
With Wayne Rooney out, Javier Hernandez out, and Dimitar Berbatov yet to fire this year, Nani will be a key player against Norwich as United aim to get back on the winning track. Danny Wellbeck will also likely feature along with the squad full of stars. I hope that Nani scores a hat-trick and only does his acrobatic celebration after the third!
Kudos to
@BeardedGenius for sharing one of the photos.

The result, combined with the Cottagers fight back from two goals down to draw with Manchester City, 2-2 at Craven Cottage, sends United 2 points clear of their city rivals and 5 above the Blues. Supporters will eagerly be anticipating the medical report on Chicharito or Javier Hernandez who was clattered by Ashley Cole and forced off the pitch late on. Dimitar Berbatov cam on for his first minutes of the young season which shifts to the Carling Cup next for United followed by Stoke City and FC Basel in UEFA Champions League play.

While the Reds have eclipsed Chelsea’s record at the start of a season after 4 games, only two points separate the sides and perhaps Manchester United has more to lose psychologically at this point in the season, that Chelsea. As I wrote before, the first ten matches for MUFC will lay the groundwork for their multiple campaigns. Having already won the Charity Shield versus Manchester City and opening their European campaign in the Champions league with an away draw versus Benfica, the signs are promising!
Reports indicate that Wayne Rooney, who is coming off two successive hat-tricks will be wearing new boots for this match. I hope he keeps his others on the bench! Will Fernando Torres or someone else in the absence of Didier Drogba be able to burst the net behind the re-instated David de Gea or will United’s form continue to blossom? Sir Alex Ferguson has indicated that he expects a tight match, but the United supporters will be eagerly anticipating another goal surge and a convincing win with the likes of Ashley Young, Javier Hernandez, Phil Jones and even the irrepressible Ryan Giggs on song.

Francis Santiago wrote Real Madrid to play Azkals? on the site PhilAzkals.com and here is a short excerpt from that article: “We have already talked to them about how much it’s going to cost and the arrangements. But I don’t know yet about the calendar. So it’s really very preliminary,” Pangilinan told reporters Wednesday night at the Meralco headquarters in Ortigas.”
